平成29年度第1回留学生文化研修会

最初の研修場所は、国分城山公園を研修し、第一工科大学が所在する国分の街並みを眺望しました。天気が良ければ、鹿児島の代名詞でもある桜島を初め、遠くは開聞岳（薩摩富士）を眺望できるところでした。
次に、霧島神宮を研修し留学生の成功と健康を祈願して霧島神宮を後にしました。
次の目的地は、高千穂牧場でしたが、天候不良のため牛の乳絞りなどの体験が出来ませんでした。しかし、昼食時間は自分で選んだ弁当を食べながら、留学生同士の交流を深めた絶好の機会でした。
昼食後は、鹿児島空港を経由して「バレルバレープラハ＆GEN」の焼酎工場及び薩摩自顕流（さつまじげんりゅう）の模範展示を研修しました。
焼酎工場は、大きな一升瓶と同じ形をした入口から入り、焼酎造りの工程や、熟成の様子を研修しました。麹による違い、原料による違いなど様々な種類の焼酎が出来ることを知ることができ、焼酎造りを学ぶことができました。
また、薩摩自顕流の模範展示や実体験をして、歴史を知ることができました。薩摩自顕流は、薩摩藩を中心に伝わった下級武士の古流剣術だそうです。数名の留学生が自顕流に挑戦して、達人から熱血的な指導を受け、難しさを感じていました。
悪天候の中での研修は終了しましたが、鹿児島の自然・歴史・伝統を多く学ぶことができ、有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。
留学生の諸君、自分の目標に向かって、一生懸命に勉学や大学生活を楽しんで下さい。参加できなかった留学生は、次回一緒に行きましょう！
On Saturday June 24th, we held a workshop to learn the culture and custom by visiting sightseeing spots and historic sites in Kirishima city.
The first place we visited was Kokubu-Shiroyama park, which has a spectacular view of Kirishima City. Unfortunately, we could not see the superb view of Sakurajima island or Mt. Kaimon-dake which usually can be seen on clear days.
Then we visited the Kirishima shrine and prayed for success and good health.
Next stop was Takachiho farm. Because of the bad weather, we had to skip some events like milking the cows, but we had good opportunity to get to know each other during the lunch time.
After lunch, we had a brief visit to the Kagoshima Airport, then visited ‘Barrel Valley Praha&Gen’, the factory of Shocyu liquor (distilled from sweet potatoes). We entered the Shocyu-bottle shaped entrance of the factory and learned the process of making Shocyu, the variety of shocyus and their differences.
Then we visited Jigen-ryu Kendo Discipline Dojo (traditional Japanese swordsmanship gym). Jigen-ryu swordsmanship is one of the ancient martial art. We watched the Jigen-ryu masters’ training, and some students tried the practice.
The weather wasn’t very good throughout the workshop, but the students learned a lot from nature, history, traditions of Kagoshima and was able to spend a valuable time.
We hope all the students study hard and enjoy the college life with us. The students who couldn’t participate the workshop, we look forward to seeing you the next time!

6月24日（星期六）、今年年度第一次留学生文化研修会在梅雨中举行，共有23名留学生参加了这次雾岛地区名胜古迹的文化研修活动。
首先研修的地方是国分城山公园。大家从山顶眺望了第一工业大学所在地国分的街景。如果天气晴朗，可以看到鹿儿岛的名景【樱岛】和【開聞岳（也叫薩摩富士）】。
然后留学生们在雾岛神宫为自己的成功，健康祈祷。
下面的目的地是千高穂牧场，由于天气的原因，没能体验挤牛奶的活动。但在午餐时间，留学生们一边吃着自己选择的饭盒，一边互相聊天，加深了互相的了解和友谊。
午饭后，经由鹿儿岛机场，参观了「バレルバレープラハ＆GEN」的制酒工厂和薩摩自顕流的模范展示会场。
制酒工厂的大门是和酒瓶一样造型的风格的大门。在这个工厂可以看到造酒的全部过程。在这里不同的麦种可以制造出不同品牌的烧酒。留学生们通过工厂参观，增长了烧酒制造的知识，同时对日本的制造工艺也有进一步的了解。
然后，通过薩摩自顕流的模范展示的参观，加深了日本古代下级武士的古流剑术的理解。
通过这次梅雨天气中的研修，留学生们对鹿儿岛的大自然，历史，传统有了更多的经验和认识。
